Aldar Academies are pleased to offer specialist instrumental tuition to students at Al Bateen, Al Muna, Al Yasmina and The Pearl. The instrumental music service provides not only professional tuition from qualified staff, but also a very competitive instrument hire scheme to enable parents to overcome issues of costly instrument purchase. A wide range of instruments are currently available for study. From September, these include Violin, Viola, Cello, Piano, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Alto Trombone, French Horn, Euphonium and Voice training.

What are the benefits of instrumental tuition? Why should my child consider learning an instrument?

Instrumental tuition offers children, and adults, numerous benefits. Researchers have found evidence that music lessons can enhance the sensitivity of the brain to speech sounds and help children improve their language skills, as well as their musical ability. Additional research has found that it can boost children’s memory abilities and improve their behavior and intelligence.

Learning to play a musical instrument is very similar to learning a second language, it is challenging. However, this challenge can help teach a pupil discipline. To master a musical instrument you need discipline. Discipline is needed to practice the instrument each day continually until you finally master the objectives.

Aldar Academies’ Instrumental Music Service offers students a wide range of performing opportunities and activities. Pupils take part in school orchestras, string ensembles, brass groups, rock groups, recorder groups, keyboard classes, junior and senior choirs, flute choirs and theory classes. All ensembles are active in frequent public performances, monthly student recitals, solo performances, preparation of ABRSM examinations, workshops and termly concerts.
